The National Democratic Party “Fidokorlar” was established in 1999 and registered in 2000.
Along with other 4 political parties in the contemporary Parliament, it considered to be a pro-governmental party. The Party stands for development of democratic standards, national independence and free market economy. “Fidokorlar” Party also stands for legal reforms, which will lead to complete independence of judicial branch and more effective protection of human rights in the Republic.
The National Democratic Party “Fidokorlar” is the third largest party in the contemporary Parliament. In 2004 parliamentary elections, the Party gained 15% and occupied 18 out of 120 seats in a Lower House of the Parliament of Uzbekistan.
The Party accounts for over 60,000 members (2004 data).
